Description
Native American Indian Series is a quality indigenous clothing collection of Native American chiefs and braves from various Native American Tribes of North America. Image shown comes from a hand-painted lithograph of Yohola-Mico, a Native American Creek chief, after the original 19th century hand-colored painting by Charles Bird King, which can be found in the Department of War, at Washington. The mico or village chief was the most important Creek leader, providing domestic leadership, serving as a representative at treaty negotiations, and leading warriors into battle. During earlier historic times, the Creek occupied the greater portion of Alabama and Georgia.
