Description
Native American Indian Series is a quality indigenous clothing collection of Native American chiefs and braves from various Native American Tribes of North America. Image shown comes from a hand-painted lithograph of Kish-Ke-Kosh, meaning “he with a cut hoof” or “savage biter”, after the original 19th century hand-colored painting by Charles Bird King, which can be found in the Department of War at Washington. This Native American was a Fox brave and war leader with an imposing presence who had a reputation as a fierce warrior, though personable and charming. Kish-Ke-Kosh was in attendance at the delegation of Sioux and Fox and Sauk chiefs at the War Department in 1837.
